Where does my money go?

100% of your donation will go towards giving our rivers a voice through data sensors. They look a bit like a rugby ball, but buoy (!) do they unlock and unleash a deluge of goodness:

• Our aim is to install at least 2 real-time data sensors along the Avon River/Ōtakaro

• We will display this data on our website in an easy to understand format

• We then use the data to tell the story of the health of our rivers

• Schools and community groups are able to make informed decisions on where restoration works will provide the biggest impact

• Riparian zones are cleared and planted with natives, reducing contamination

• Younger generations are engaged and increasingly aware of the state of our rivers

We need to raise a minimum of $20,000 to purchase, install and maintain two devices.

If we raise our target of $96,000 this will enable us to get sensors along the length of the Avon / Otakaro river, to display the data meaningfully, and activate other areas of remediation along the river.
